At Nostra, we extended Glance AI’s capabilities into gaming — letting users imagine themselves as AI-generated avatars inspired by characters from GTA, sci-fi, or action worlds. This feature was added in the Nostra gaming app, a project I worked on.

Our MVP allowed users to swap their face, select a character type, and preview expressions like smiles or winks to personalize their look. These avatars were built for social sharing and self-expression.
Looking ahead, our vision is to bring these avatars into actual gameplay environments, making users feel truly part of the game world.

To maintain consistency and familiarity for users already engaged with Glance AI, I followed the same foundational structure and flow when designing for the Nostra app. This included a seamless onboarding experience—starting with capturing a selfie and selecting a few character personality traits to guide the AI.
From there, I extended the experience specifically for gamers, designing in Nostra's design language.

STEP 1: UPLOADING A PICTURE
The first four steps work just like Glance AI’s app — simple and smooth. Users can click a selfie or upload a photo from their gallery. After selecting an image, they get a quick preview. If there’s any issue with the photo, clear guidelines help them choose a better one for best results.

Within 10 seconds, 3 gaming looks are generated. If users don’t like them, they can keep generating new ones. They can also take actions like saving the look to their device, setting it as their Nostra profile, sending it in chats, or sharing it on social media.
